Accessibility Policy

Our Mission

We want our website to be accessible and usable to the largest potential audience, regardless of ability, age, background or technology.

Tables

  • Where possible we have not used tables.
  • Using Style Sheets we can offer you the same information without distorting the layout or quality of the page.

Supported Browsers

  • This site is tested and optimised to work in the latest versions of
    • Safari
    • Firefox
    • Chrome
    • Internet Explorer (7 & 8)

Change Text Size and Headings

The majority, and where available, text and headings within the site are relative sized. This allows you to easily increase or decrease the font size to suit yourself.

This can be done through a few methods;

By Links/Website

We have built in a quick method to increase and decrease the font size of the page.

Click either the link ‘Smaller’ or ‘Bigger’ next to ‘Text Size’ in the top section of the website. The page will automatically make the website text bigger or smaller. To reset at any time press F5 or Refresh in your browser.

By Browser

You can increase or decrease the text size on the website by:

  • Internet Explorer 7 &  8
Go to ‘view’ in your browser menu, select the ‘text size option’ and choose the size of text you want.
  • Internet Explorer 5 and 6
The site does not support IE 5 & 6. We recommend you upgrade to IE 7 or 8. Internet Explorer 7 and above offer better accessibility and user experience.
  • Firefox
Go to ‘view’ in your browser menu and select ‘increase or decrease’.
  • Chrome
Go to the ‘page menu’ and select ‘text zoom’.
  • Safari
Go to ‘view’ in your browser menu and select ‘make text bigger or smaller’.
  • Opera
Go to ‘view’ in your browser menu and select ‘zoom’.

By Mouse

You can resize text in all browsers by pressing ‘ctrl’ and rolling your mouse wheel to shrink or enlarge.

The use of headings and section titles within the site is to not only help break up the information on a web page but makes it easier to read, and is beneficial to people using screen readers, as they will be able to easily navigate between headings and sections.

Social Networking Websites

We use Social Networking websites such as Twitter, Flickr, You Tube and such like. These sites are not provided or regulated by ourselves and therefore we can not guarantee any information or quality of service from these said sites. These sites adhere to their own accessibility guidlines.

  • We have tried to adhere to standard accessibility guidelines, but we cannot guarantee that all pages and elements within the site are accessible/optimised.
  • Some areas of our website use Flash however, this information is not unique to the Flash element, and are provided in different formats through the website. We have strived to make our Flash elements as accessible as possible.
